Rocks and Fossils

West Wales has a rich geology or 'geodiversity' and this is especially apparent where the underlying rock forms are exposed along our rugged coastline. We have some of the oldest rocks in Britain along our coast, along with amazing folding of sediments and exposure of precious trilobite fossils. This rich heritage also warrants protection and so WWBIC is working closely with Earth Scientist Sid Howells to implement a system of documenting and protecting precious sites.
