Ramsey Island
Ramsey island lies half a mile from St David's Peninsula and is owned and managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). It is a National Nature Reserve, a Special Protection Area and is in a Special Area of Conservation.
Ramsey's high sea cliffs are important breeding sites for thousands of sea birds. Fulmars, puffins, guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes all breed at these locations. Chough, peregruines and lapwings also inhabit the island.
Ramsey has one of the largest atlantic grey seal breeding colonies in Britain, it is also a good location from which to see porpoises, dolphins and whales.
