The National Hedgehog Survey, which was launched last year, will be starting again at the beginning of May and we are looking for volunteers/recorders who would be interested in getting involved.
The survey aims to map the occupancy of hedgehogs across England and Wales and to further investigate the importance of different factors such as habitat features, land management practices and badgers. We have pre-selected sites that we would like volunteers to survey for hedgehogs using 10 footprint tunnels over a five day period. You can find out more about the survey at www.ptes.org/nationalhedgehogsurvey.
